The research subjects were eighteen fifth graders from one class of an elementary school in Yunlin. The research method used in the study was designed for one group pretest-posttest. The experimental group took part in the course of English Marine education picture books twice a week. There were 15 lessons in the study and each lesson took 40 minutes. There were five topics in this course, including “Marine Leisure”, “Marine Society”, “Marine Culture”, “Marine Science”, and “Marine Resources.” The quantitative study instruments included “Knowledge of Marine Achievement Test” and “Attitude of Marine Scale” which were designed by the researcher while the qualitative data included the semistructure interviews and the students’ feedback worksheets. After the triangulation of quantitative and qualitative data, the research obtained the following results. I.After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students made progress in the Knowledge of Marine Achievement Test. i. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the knowledge of marine were above the average. II. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ attitudes toward Marine became more aggressive and positive. i. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the total attitudes of Marine Scale were excellent. ii. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the attitudes of Marine Leisure Subscale were excellent. iii. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the attitudes of Marine Society Subscale were excellent. iv. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the attitudes of Marine Culture Subscale were excellent. v. After taking part in the course of English Marine picture books, students’ performances on the attitudes of Marine Science Subscale were excellent. vi.
