Today we found these precious images printed most clearly and popular themes published diversity are from postcards. It’s called " E- Ha- Ga- Ki" in Japanese. These images in photobooks are the records in the Japanese colonial period which most created by photography and some from the painters. Postcards in Japanese are called "Ha- Ga- Ki " but postcards included images are called " E- HA- GA- KI ". The Postcards are the common delivered method in Taiwan about a decade after Japanese colonial period. Japanese tourists collect commemorative postmarks and sent postcard to home in the post office, railway station or some tourist attractions. They delivered the postcard to express their safety to their family, share the tourism and promote national prestige. These postcards in Taiwan were also sent to Japan to share the images on it to friends or family. The images included art, scene, landscape, fruit, industry, police, society, religion, celebration, and activities in Expo and so on. For the colonists, these images were novel and worth to show-off. The Japanese watercolorist KINICHIOR ISHIKAWA came to Taiwan in November, 1907. The images on postcards at that time were almost landscapes and genre paintings. He considers the real views in Taiwan must be perfect presented by drawing. In the next year, he organized a "Zi Lan” club and published many “hand-painted” postcards. Many famous artists painted these postcards to express the elevation of quality of humanism different from the popular advertising images. These images lead us to understand Taiwan in these artists’ eye again. The postcards are not only for recording times, but also for sharing the aesthetics of living. This article organizes the postcard images created by Japanese painters in the Japanese colonial period by literature review and explore the "southern scenery" in these artists’ view. This research consists of three parts. First, we analyze the images of the presentation on the postcard. Second, we identify the recognition of Japanese Artists‘ Taiwanese visual elements. In the end, we lead the reader to recognize the attractive image of these postcards. Hsiao, Bao-ling 蕭寶玲 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 185 zh-TW |
