By drawing on the aspect of emotion, work-family conflict may lead to low job satisfaction and parent-child relationship satisfaction. because when the work-family conflict happens, it will cause different negative emotional reactions, such as guilt and hostility, which affect individual’s attitudes. Participants were 247 single parents. The method of the survey was conducted via questionnaire. The measure instruments of this study included Work-family Conflict Scale, Job Satisfaction Scale, Parent-child Relationship Satisfaction Scale, Guilt Scale, and Hostility Scale. The study used descriptive statistics, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows: (1).Single parents’ work-family conflict had significant effects on job statisfaction and parent-child relationship satisfaction. (2). Single parents’ work-family conflict had significant effects on guilt and hostility. (3). The relationship between work-family conflict and job satisfaction, mediated by hostility, was negative.
