The method adopted single subject experimental method withdrawal design (A-B-A-B), study participant as a cerebral palsy child, the independent variable was the virtual reality motor training, the dependent variable was the hands motor ability. The experimental place was in a special education classroom. Before the experiment, the research interviewed with parent and teachers to understand the features of the cerebral palsy child’s hands motor ability and determine the target behavior. The duration of all experiment was about three months, included the baseline period, the intervention period1, the withdrawal period and the intervention period2. In these steps, data was collected and analyzed in line chart, visual analysis, and effect size to explain the cerebral palsy child’s hands motor ability and his motivation performance. The questionnaire data which was wrote by parent and teachers will had been analyze with social validity analysis in the end of the experiment. The findings are as follows: 1. The effects of virtual reality on hands motor ability for a child with cerebral palsy are positive and immediate. 2. The cerebral palsy child’s motivation performance is promoted by virtual reality motor training. 3. The parent and teachers agree the effects of virtual reality on hands motor ability for a child with cerebral palsy. Lastly, based on the research findings, the study discussed and proposed suggestions to education field and workers when using virtual reality. Related suggestions were also given regarding future research directions. LIN, CHIEN-YU 林千玉 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
