Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系課程與教學教學碩士班 === 104 === This study investigated the current status of the learning motivation, learning attitude and learning achievement of Penghu’s upper elementary school students with certain background variables taken into account so as to explore how the three factors were interrelated. For this purpose, the researcher developed an inventory ‘Questionnaire on Penghu’s Upper Elementary School Students’ Learning Motivation and Learning Attitude.’ Following a stratified random sampling method, this study sampled 466 students, namely a third of the 2015~2016 school year population, and 453 out of the 466 questionnaires sent out returned as valid responses. The raw data were then processed by SPSS Ver. 17.0 for Windows with descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, independent-samples t-test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis applied. The findings are as follows. 1. Both the learning motivation and the learning attitude of Penghu’s upper elementary school students turned out in between ‘neutral’ and ‘positive’ with the average learning achievement on the ‘good’ level. 2. Significant differences showed on both learning motivation and learning attitude as students were grouped in terms of gender and school district. In addition, school size also had an influence on learning attitude. The learning achievement, on the other hand, tended to vary in accordance with the parent’s level of education. 3. The trio of learning motivation, learning attitude, and learning achievement showed a positive correlation. 4. Both learning motivation and learning attitude could be used to predict upper elementary school students’ learning achievement.
