Because there is no existent standard for measuring reasonable wage, the government proposes the “Minimum Wage System”. But, the “Minimum Wage System” will be benefit or harm to the development of economy? The article investigates the effect of “Minimum Wage System” in Taiwan towards three economic indicators: the employment rate, and the rate of change on work hours and wages. The result shows that, the employment rate, and the rate of change on work hours and wages of youth workers will be decreased with the higher minimum wage.
