| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 104 === “Relational Enhancement” is a couple counseling process which focuses on what holds couple together – in this study been called bonds, in this process counselor finds the bonds and enhances them. To find out how experienced couple counselor works on the bonds and how the bonds are enhanced, this study examines the process of five sessions of relational-enhancing counseling and analyzes the data from IPR of couples and counselor by qualitative methods.
Research results finds seven categories of bonds, include beginning causes, affection, perception, attitude and intentions, action, uniqueness of relationship and social network. In the process, counselor enhanced the bonds by initiating the affection circulation of which process includes inviting couple to sharing positive experiences of relationship, noticing nonverbal cues of listener, deepening expression to affection and meaning level, checking the perception of listener, inviting and deepening listener’s response, and confirming bonds. In the process counselor used focusing, deepening, supporting, clarifying, encouraging affective expression in daily live to improve the affection circulation. Affection, perception, attitude and intentions, and action bonds would be enhanced in relational-enhancing process.
