碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 台灣文化研究所 === 104 === This master’s thesis explores the White Terror in the early 1950s by delving into the life experiences of the persecuted victim’s family. This thesis is expected to probe into the social atmosphere from the late 1940s to early 1950s; besides, look into the process how the victim’s family get over the persecution during and after the 228 Incident. On the other hand, this thesis intends to focus on the victim’s family while previous research about White Terror are mainly within the scope of Domestic Violence and victims themselves. This thesis analyzes the experiences of CHANG-HSIANG HUANG’s Family as a “persecuted victim’s family of the White Terror”. In addition, how they confront and get through the oppression. At last, this thesis explains a general political ideology among the Hakka cultural area of Miaoli County, and also compares the self-consciousness of the victim’s family with the ideology. The aspects of personalities are taken into consideration as well. At last, from nation identity to party inclination, this thesis analyze the political consciousness of the victim’s family, also compares the general temperature and political ideology among the Hakka cultural area of Miaoli County with the feeling and attitude of the victim’s family.
