Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 104 === The author advocates and applies the concept of “Learning Community” to collaborative art-making activities in elementary school visual art classes. By conducting an experimental teaching project, this action research examines and puts the concept of learning community into practice. Through literature review, the author analyzes the characteristics of learning community and considers them as valuable teaching principles of the Group Working course in elementary school visual art classes for fifth and sixth graders. In addition, the author examines the implementation of the lesson plan, students’ reaction in the courses, and the outcome of teaching practice. Accordingly, the author provides suggestions for teachers who adapting learning community to collaborative creating activities in visual art classes. Ultimately, this action research had put the following three conclusions based on the results of the study: (A) To cultivate a good interpersonal relationship, learning community values the interaction between students and teachers, and takes into account their participations, feedbacks, and encouragements in the process. Students and teachers are living creatures. They solve their conflicts by sharing and communicating their different options. That is when learning occurs by communicating their multiple ways of thinking. (B) Learning community integrates elements of people, time, space, and surroundings into the design of curricula. By employing multiple teaching and learning strategies and making good use of school environment and the resources from parents, learning becomes more interesting and meaningful. Thus, learning community is a useful teaching strategy for collaborative creating activities in elementary school visual art classes for fifth and sixth graders. (C) This experimental action research based on the concept of learning community is aimed to place students as the center of learning processes, enhance teachers’ autonomies, and increase the openness of multiple creative class design.
