Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 數位科技設計學系(含玩具與遊戲設計碩士班) === 104 === Robot technology can be seen everywhere nowadays. Industrial robots with highly versatile arms are used extensively in the automotive manufacturing industry. Mobile robots are also used for rescue work and are frequently employed in harsh environments that are dangerous for human workers. These robots often have many legs, tracks or multiple sets of wheels to allow them to negotiate rough terrain. Now, humanoid robots exemplified by ASIMO (devised and produced by Honda in Japan) can also be seen. ASIMO looks just like a small astronaut, has 57 movable joints, and can walk and even run, rather like a human. It has precise hand movements and can be regarded as a pioneer amongst humanoid robots. In this study the development of a humanoid robot kit, that can be used for educational purposes, is presented. The components are made by 3D printing technology and an Arduino control board is used to process commands. The programming is straightforward enough, as is the mechanical design, to enable high school students to easily get started learning robotics. Students were able to redesign our humanoid robot to reduce the number of motors and simplify the construction. The robot used in this study was easy to operate, had flexible features, was mobile and proved to be most educational. Students learned 3D modeling, mechanical design, electronic circuitry, details of mobile phone APP design and other related information. Learning was achieved by doing and playing as well as study and the robot was an innovative and interactive digital teaching aid. The results of the study were most positive, despite some difficulties encountered by the students along the way.
