The disclosure of commodity information from enterprise is the main way which consumer could find such information. Recently, the disclosure, display and presentation of commodity information has become inevitable. As the result, providing better consuming environment with regulation and education about providing commodity information become the consensus in global. For the protection of consumer right, Consumer Protection Law in R.O.C (Taiwan) is legislated in Single Act. As basic law, Consumer Protection Law becomes the constitution of consumer protection which regulated the general principles, rights, or dispute between the consumer and enterprise. Commodity labelling is the way to express commodity information that consumer could realize the commodity information, and also consumer could receive the correct and complete information. The enterprise shall take the responsibility of commodity labelling, including but not limited to the honesty attributes of commodity labelling and others. For punishing who invaded the consumer right, designing the system of consumer protection with administration and criminal regulations. Especially, it should empower consumer the rights to avoid, preserve, terminate, reinstate, indemnify and return the illegal benefit. This thesis discusses the regulations about commodity labelling for consumer protection and compares the regulations between Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and German Act against Unfair Competition. This thesis research if the Consumer Protection Law is deficient in the right of consumer information and focus on the violation of labeling responsibility by summing and analyst current regulations and laws. Wish the consumers in R.O.C(Taiwan) could have more opportunities to make decision, be responsible for self and relieve. Hope consumer could express their right through Consumer Protection Law and enhance a more complete and health environment by this thesis to modify the Consumer Protection Law.
