Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 民俗藝術與文化資產研究所 === 104 === Peikuan music in Taiwan is closely bound up with Taiwanese lives and culture. Peikuan amateur, formed by local teenagers, is even more closely related to the locals. When the place is thriving, the scale of the Peikuan amateur troupe will become larger and larger. Thus, when the troupe is performing, the scene will be bigger and more prosperous. Fengyuan used to be a transfer station of business men from the South and North. With its exceptionally rich and natural resources, Fengyuan developed comparably early. “Tsi̍p-sîng-ian,” formed and supported by different stores and shops on the streets, was actively functioning. However, as Taiwanese society transformed into industrial and commercial society, the number of Peikuan amateur declined in a fast pace due to various reasons. Under the pressure of natural disasters, artificial interference, and time, nowadays, Peikuan music can only be seen in occasions such as religious ceremonies, or cart-drum array in funeral customs in Taiwanese society. This research investigated the historical background and development of Tsi̍p-sîng-ian by interviewing the younger generation of the crew and analysis of literature. Tsi̍p-sîng-ian was once about to disband, and this led to small number of historical relics, and limited artistry for current members to learn. Nevertheless, it is very rare that the locals in Fengyuan have the intent to pass on the spirit of traditional culture of Peikuan. This research collected and synthesized related information of Tsi̍p-sîng-ian, hoping to leave materials for the locals for future research. The researcher did her utmost to help the locals in Fengyuan understand and pay more attention to the local culture.
