With the change of the overall environment, an aging society, or super-aging society has become a major issue, and gradually, social care for seniors has been placed a high value; therefore, more public and private institutions start to engage in the seniors-related industrial activities. In order to effectively segment the needs of seniors industry, the information is collected by taking staff interviews and questionnaire survey in this study. It is to expect the depth understanding of the status which seniors participate leisure activities in Taitung, and the type they participate. The results show: The physical and mental condition of seniors related to the frequency of participation in leisure activities, and the motivation for participating leisure activities is tend to make new friends. About the marriage and living conditions, seniors participate leisure activities are mostly from senior citizens living alone or widowed in their later years, and the preference of leisure activities are fitness exercise, fun activities, or group recreational activities, which are attribute to interactive type; it shows the importance of company demand for seniors. Because of similarities and differences between seniors’ choice types of activities they participate in the institutions, it should be paid attention to providing diversified services. Finally, look forward to the results available to the relevant industry as the future planning of seniors to participate in recreational activities and improve research and reference.
