Western media praise Taiwan for its protection of LGBT rights, while there’s something more delicate which local LGBT activists are undergoing. This in-depth reporting focuses on recent developments of Taiwan’s LGBT movement which is switching audience from the government to citizens after a strong counterforce, “Taiwan Religious-groups Family Protection Alliance,” forming since late 2013. Through sketching Taiwan’s LGBT activists on political, educational and cultural field, this in-depth reporting points out a different viewpoint understanding the meaning and impact of Taiwan’s LGBT movement.
