Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 舞蹈學系 === 104 === The study was designed to investigate how the characters were interpreted and its production process where the author played a part in the 2015 graduate project “My Memory Suite”. “My Memory Suite” was the 2015 graduate performance presented by master's graduates from the Department of Dance at National Taiwan University of Arts. On the central themes of love of my family, romance, and friendship, this play explored life and human emotions by a variety of dance moves through the memories of the author. This play truthfully reflected different feelings and the immense influence of time and space, even it seems to fragment and disconnect. It also showed that memories have the ability to revive themselves in the recess of our minds. Starting with a picture, this play presents a story about the past only belonging to oneself through turning important moments of life into snapshots of memories that will never melt away. “My Memory Suite”.pieced together a wonderful memory after slowly recovering from deep anguish and beautiful sorrow. As a performer in this play, the author analyzes in this study that interpretation of the character and the performance uses a series of movements, transforming her life stories into a collection of body language and accumulating more dancing experiences. Furthermore, useful knowledge such as theories of performance skills and character interpretation may provide a good source of reference for the author’s future practice and dance performance. Finally, the author presented her views about the whole production, hoping that she can combine and apply dance experiences with theories by documenting important moments of life. To conclude, one can consult this study for suggestions and strategies on theatrical dance production, body language, and interpretation of emotions.
