Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 雕塑學系 === 104 === The sound fields in science-fiction films evoke a prototype of audio construction. Under the reconstruction of unknown sounds and scenes, hearing works like a processing factory which enables the absorption, deconstruction and recombination of sounds like a processing factory, and consciousness functions as a catalyst in summoning the imagination to synthesize and form soundscapes in the mind. While bearing in mind the soundscapes that encompasses each era, one simultaneously reconstructs a personal sense of hearing. Science-fiction films serve as the trigger interface of the first half of this thesis, leading the auditory sense to arouse the imagination and other possibilities. Apart from the contextual influence of the era, the consciousness is sculpted through one’s audio interpretation of sound. Penetrating into the latter half of the thesis is the transition that has taken place in the consciousness of the author’s creative context: the construction process of shifting from traditional sculpture to auditory consciousness, from physical practice to synthesizing in the mind. The works shown are derived from the reconstruction process of a deconstructed former consciousness, which imperceptibly imply an inherent sculptural spirit.
