By utilizing plug-ins on modeling software, in this case Rhinoceros 3D, some constraints imposed by the conventional model slicing software can be broken, which then allows the users to somehow manipulate the tool path (G code) directly, in order to reduce the consumption of printing filament and printing duration . The capabilities of the 3D printers were being tested in the very beginning, and designs are being rolled up based on the findings on printer’s capabilities. Then, the proposed fabrication technique is applied on two architectural prototypes: The Wall Panel and The Voussoirs, in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the technique.
