Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 104 === In this thesis a mixed-equalization circuit for series-connected battery packs is proposed, which applies a bi-directional flyback converter to balance six battery packs. The four cells inside each battery pack are balanced by passive balance method. Each side of the flyback converter is connected with three battery packs. The energy is transferred directly from the highest battery pack to the lowest one through the converter. This proposed scheme aims to reduce the power dissipation during the multiple transfer processes and the time required for balancing. In this thesis, a 16-bit digital signal controller, dsPIC30F4011 from Microchip, is applied to act as the control kernel which communicates with the BMS IC using sequential peripheral interface (SPI), monitors all the batteries voltage and decides which two battery packs to be connected to each side of the flyback converter for proceeding balancing process. A battery pack consists of 24 series-connected Li-ion battery cells is used for the experiments to verify this proposed circuit topology and control scheme.
