Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 104 === Nowadays, plastic injection molding is one of the important industrial sectors with many designers and manufacturers involved. To work in this field, one should have extensive knowledge of standard mold base for plastic molding. However, at present, most data related to mold base are present in paper format which makes people difficult to understand the mold base structure. Thus, this paper employs commercial 3D CAD tools to develop a 3D interactive system so that the structure of a mold base can be illustrated in a dynamic manner. In addition to presenting the 3D structure of a mold base, explanation text is employed as supplement key information to enhance the visual and real-time interactive communication effects. Moreover, to satisfy the need of adding more data and modules to the current system, this thesis work defines a scheme for standardizing and modularizing the structure of a mold base so that various types of mold base from different vendors can be accumulated in the future.
The 3D interactive system developed in this thesis allows system users to quickly understand the components and mechanism of a mold base. It also allows the system manager to preserve the mechanism for future expansion of more modules.
