Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 104 === Current research includes 4 series with total of 14 concrete pedestal specimens with various kinds of transverse reinforcement and shear studs configuration subjected to uniaxial compression load. Some of the specimens have steel column embedded into the concrete pedestal. The focus of this study is to investigate the axial load transfer from steel to reinforced concrete. The experimental results show that: (1) the use of transverse reinforcement in concrete pedestal increases the bearing strength and the ductility of the pedestal, (2) the presence of concrete above the bearing surface increases the bearing strength of the concrete pedestal, (3) shear stud need sufficient deformation to develop its maximum strength and part of the concrete strength is used up to resist part of the axial load transferred by shear studs, (4) the modified-superposition method proposed in this report, which use the reduction factor to reduce the bearing strength, can give reasonably accurate and conservative prediction to the combination of bearing strength and shear connection strength.
