Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 專利研究所 === 104 === Patent analysis and portfolio of technology are very valuable to a corporation. Based on these analyses, researchers not only have more understanding of the technics, but also have the chance to observe competitors’ markets, technical classifications and technical roadmap. While using electronic map and street view as the technical subjects, this study generalizes the technics and functions of this field to show the result of technical function matrix, which investigates the developing process and direction of street view processing technology. This study indicates the patent trend of the technology of electronic map and street view. Through the information, this study is able to investigate the major patent applicants’ international profiling strategy and regional distribution from the condition of their patent family. Moreover, based on the patent documents, which are relative to street view technics, from major patent applicants: Google, Apple, Microsoft, it would be able to investigate the direction of research and development of street view. Also, it could be provided to the industry for the future technical progressing. The results could be summed up as below: (1) Street view technics is growing, and the patent numbers show a steady condition. (2) These international profiling strategies of major patent applicants mostly rely on Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). (3) Among these major patent applicants of street view technics development, Google is the first place, second is Apple, then Microsoft. The technical classification distributes in devices, image processing and data processing. (4) The technics of street view processing has a great prospect; also, the image recognition technology would be the critical part of major patent applicants’ patent portfolio.
