The rectifier is dedicated to be the front-stage of server power supply that should have high efficiency and high performance. Two topologies include the traditional bridge boost PFC rectifier and bridgeless totem-pole PFC rectifier are investigated with the proposed digital control. The presented control method employs dual-loop control with inner inductor current control loop and outer loop DC voltage control loop. This thesis provides a detailed modeling of these two loops. Accordingly, feedforward plus feedback control method for the current-loop is presented to achieve a close inductor current tracking performance. As for the DC voltage control loop, the control loop is designed to attenuate the 2 nd-oder voltage ripple such that the inductor current command is low-distorted and the voltage response has suitable bandwidth. The digital controller is designed using the digital control developing platform provided by PSIM. In addition to evaluate the PFC rectifier circuit and controller with PSIM, The controller is transformed from continuous to digital domain with the Digital Control toolbox and then is converted to an executable code with the SimCoder toolbox. Finally the code can be programmed into the DSP (TI F28335) in the real circuit. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed with some simulated and experimental results.
