The Research for Motivation and Constraints of Yunlin County Elementary Schools’ Athletes’ Participation in Track and Field Team

碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 企業管理系經營管理碩士在職專班 === 104 === This study aims to explore the correlation between the motives and constraints of participation in elementary track and field teams in Yunlin County in Taiwan, as well as the differences of above under different background variables. A questionnaire was used as the main research instrument. The subjects of this study were student athletes competing at the 2015 Fall County Magistrate Cup Elementary Track and Field Meets in Yunlin County, Taiwan. Totally 358 valid questionnaires were collected. The effective response rate was 89.9%. Descriptive Statistics, Independent T-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient were used to analyze the collected data. The results of this study were as follows: In comparing the differences among motives of participation, there were significant differences on the “Sport Development” factor among different training time per week. In comparing the differences among the constraints, there were significant differences on “Capability,” “Team Support” and “External Condition” among different training time per week. There was significant negative correlation between motives of participation and the constraints among elementary track and field athletes in Yunlin County in Taiwan.
