Moreover, it also examines the moderator effects of emotional regulation ability and humor styles on the relationship between personal negative emotions and personal creativity. On the basis of literature reviews, we propose three hypotheses and adopt the pretest-posttest control group design of the true experimental design. The two experimental groups consisted of 153 students, and those examinees were divided into two groups. To arouse negative emotions, the students in experiment group were arranged to see the film full of negative emotions;on the contrary, the students in control group didn’t see the film. After the experimental task, every student had to fill out the questionnaires. On account of the research data, researchers could examine if the research variables worked and the hypotheses were tenable. In addition, to prevent the variance in the survey, three experts took the responsibility to grade the standard scoresheets of personal creativity. The following are research findings. (1)When people get higher scores on negative emotions, their creativity performances will be worse. (2)Different humor styles will interfere the relationship between personal negative emotions and personal creativity. In this experiment, self-defeating humor style will enhance the negative influence of personal negative emotions to personal creativity; self-enhancing humor style and aggressive humor style will weaken the negative influence of personal negative emotions to personal creativity. Affiliative humor style doesn’t significantly influence the relationship between personal negative emotions and personal creativity. (3)When the score of personal emotional regulation ability is higher, the influence of personal negative emotions to personal creativity will decrease.
