Description
Summary:碩士 === 實踐大學 === 企業管理學系碩士班 === 104 === The number of foreign workers increased dramatically when the government started to import foreign workers but recently the society has focused on the issue of foreign workers policy and minimum wage system. The import of foreign workers can help alleviate shortage of manpower in importing countries; it can have positive effect for such countries’ economies, however, import of foreign workers has direct impact on domestic workers and, therefore, a solid and well-functioning worker policy is needed to secure economic development and also the work rights for the domestic workers. According to the basic theory of minimum wage, adopting minimum wage can protect the rights of the workers, and also help maintain stability and minimize the income gap in the current society, besides helping workers with low income to meet their basic needs. The purpose of minimum wage is to protect the workers and the rights of the underprivileged. This dissertation mainly discusses the situation in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan as target countries, with focus on their foreign worker policies and also the minimum wage systems. Keywords: Foreign worker policy, Industrial worker, Minimum wage
