However, arrival of the era of visual graphics has rapidly increased our ways of paragraph-thinking. Patterns on clothes are the most powerful language related to visual communication. Subject to constant impacts in this visual age, patterns in the fashion field can only concretize their advantages through integration with the fragmented memories and thoughts of modern humans.
As there exist enough common grounds to bridge the editing of film images and that of the patterns on the garments, this paper introduces the film editing thoughts to carry out a cross-domain theoretical docking and derivation to innovate the design language for fashion patterns from aspects of creation experiments to the design of ready-to-wear series.
