Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 法律學系 === 104 === Abstract This study aims to recommend a model of rethinking and amending the current regulation of Taiwan’s insurance groups. It draws on the Insurance Core Principles (ICPs), developed by International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), and analyzes the current regulatory inadequacies. The ICPs and standards provide instructions and solutions for related issues like Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls, ERM and Valuation for Solvency Purposes. The ICPs can guild us to improve our insurance group-wide supervision system so as to follow the international practices. The study categorizes Taiwan’s insurance groups as the “Financial Holding Company (FHC)-based” and those that are not.
