Churches must adapt to this trend, rethink from many perspectives how to use pastoral care and strategies to provide different family types with spiritual counseling in divorce issues. The researcher of this study interviewed 7 pastors from two Hualien Baptist Churches who have experiences in caring divorced families, summarizes and analyzes the interview content and their experiences. Findings are as follows: Members from divorced families appear to have multiple roles and excessive pressures, so that boundaries within families are blurred, and parents and children both are under great pressure. Pastors are often put in a rather difficult position while giving pastoral care members from divorced families always choose to hide their divorce while facing belief issues, and depart their beliefs if they have disagreement with God. Pastors adopt ways that they are good at to care for divorced families members. If divorced families are undergoing the changes, they also need support from Christian belief and other sources. Pastors, in the mean time, should equip themselves consciously with more pastoral specialty in family ministry, and return to God to recover strength through devotion and prayer. Based on the above mentioned, this study puts forward the following proposals: Parents should pay attention to their children’s receiving of pastoral care and help to establish the single parents support system. Pastors are encouraged to offer family marriage courses and to develop family ministry. Churches should collect social resources to reduce the financial burden of single parent family, and help divorced spouses be reconciled and become partners again, and make members of divorced families closer to the God by means of multi-channel cooperation and Christian belief.
