Then, the requirement of performance for the function of security, health, convenience, energy-saving in the house is highly demand. Furthermore, the rapid progress and development in the industry of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) have been relatively increased the applied ICT technology which has produced a lot of smart appliance recently. So, added-value and much differentiation are done by the construction industries after presenting the smart system appliance which can not only increase the housing prices but also attract more consumers. Under trend guide, the government also proposed i-Taiwan 12 projects, smart Taiwan policy-oriented is about to promote the progressive development of the smart technology industry, then the smart housing policy is willing to give grants to promote effective intelligent house. The goal of this work is to build up a smart energy-saving switch system by using the low-cost single-chip Arduino controller. This system combines the modules of power management, environmental control, remote internet detecting, near-field and far-field to reach energy-saving by monitoring and controlling house appliances. In 21st century, life is under enormous pressure due to the rapid society development, most of the people just want to relax completely after work, then the smart house is in demand, however the energy crisis is coming soon. The key technology of this smart energy-saving switch system is involved the functions of the remote access and near-filed control by using the wireless transmission technique in the smartphone and single-chip. Furthermore, this wireless module can be placed in the switching box directly without any additional connecting wires to modify/change the interior design. Taking into the consideration of the current family structure, the usage of the internet transmission is very important because a lot of users can take the advantage of internet through the notebook, tablet PC or mobile phone to have the ability of controlling. Linking with the APP applications in the popular smartphone to have the easy operating function, since all house appliances certainly go through the outlet, the switch can be designed to have the ability of energy-saving. Furthermore, multiple remote control (learning function), automatic state control, and time schedule control functions can also be combined by using the IR-learning modules and smart portable devices (flat-panel/phone) to reach the energy-saving.
