Description
Summary:碩士 === 東方設計學院 === 文化創意設計研究所 === 104 === In this study, naive art painting styles and techniques were used to shape an individual and unique painting style and achieve excellence and simplicity in painting. Ideas and emotions can be expressed on canvas through naive art to please the eye of a person looking at a painting and to perform an educational function. Naive art paintings have an uncommon form, being unadorned in style, naive in content, and unrestricted, expressing primitive nature while also reflecting social customs and habits and local sentiments. The discussion in this study was built around the concept of naive art and nine pieces of artwork created by the author. All paintings were based on the theme of “human.” Ten experts and scholars invited for in-depth interviews regarding each painting asserted the uniqueness of the author’s painting style. Next, questionnaires were administered to 50 male and 50 female participants from the general population. The results showed that 65% of the respondents held a positive and assertive attitude toward the painting style. Also, the paintings evoked happy feelings and interest in 31% of respondents.
