Dementia is a really important issue in Taiwan. The approach to this study of quantitative research questionnaire has extracted 620 samples for the study, and has completed 501 questionnaires, a total of 464 valid questionnaires. The purpose of this study is: 1. to understand the basic characteristics and their current situation of the social support systems of the primary caregivers of people with dementia. 2. To explore the primary caregiver’s health status, care services, and the current status of their social support systems. Results of the study: 1. the basic characteristics and interpersonal situations are significantly different with each dementia case. 2. The basic characteristics and the social support of a caregiver are significantly different with each dementia case. 3. The basic characteristics and interpersonal situations of every dementia case are significantly different with each caregiver. 4. The basic characteristics and the social support are significantly different with each caregiver. 5. The basic characteristics and interpersonal situations of each dementia’s case may predict the social support of caregivers. The study suggests: 1. Provide care services to the men with dementia. 2. Strengthen the advocacy work of the dementia, focusing on the introduction of early-onset dementia. 3. Allow the caregivers to use the micro and macro social support services to provide to men with dementia.4. Provide early onset of dementia caregivers with microsystem social support services. 5. Increase the micro social support services of the caregivers to promote aging in place. 6. Three percent of caregivers considered to send those with dementia to institutions, and how to improve the professionalism of the institution and caregiver’s support services, and use it as a focus.
