| Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 104 === Taipei Main Station is located in the Zhongzheng District in downtown Taipei. It is a union station of Taiwan Railway Administration, Taipei Metro, Taiwan High Speed Rail,Taipei Bus Station and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System. It is an important transportation hub in Taiwan. No matter locals or foreigner, people in northern or southern, the infant or the elder, anyone will stay in here. It is the significant public space in Taiwan.
Started by at the changes in the transportation, and propose what the next station 3.0 is. Then, led by the higher level plan (the central station and central park planning), I will propose the site plan of Station 3.0, how to connect with other building. Analyzes the actions in the station, programme, and doing the spacial design. Finally,propose the vision of Taipei Main Station.
The new definition of the station
Along with the change in times, technological flourishing and change in transition, the function of the station changes. In station 1.0, the station means (the vehicle) speed or parking lot. In station 2.0, the station means the station city that is make the station being like a small city having many programs (food, clothing, hotel, transition, etc). It is the commerce oriented.
Make the definition of station 3.0 and the station 3.0 how to exist in the city node, according to the design.
The field of the station
The station is not a building anymore, it becomes an area from the building. The range of design is a hole block. The solid building is non-functionalism and no tagging for a place. The space and the function is not a one-to-one relationship which means they will make different roles by times.
City spread out
Led by the higher level plan (the central station and central park planning), it is like a city spread out from West to East. To make a network, what program should be set in the central station and how to connect with surroundings.
Legibility of public space and shortcut to the gate
Make the station area more obvious and public. To eliminate the traditional image of station which is a maze, make the gate easy to arrive and obvious.
