Apart from being a location of art and culture development, campus public art also represents the development indicators of art and culture in school. The researcher believes that a campus with cultural meaning and art activities supports children’s learning. This research focusing on campus public art installation with a case study on Vanilla elementary, investigates the following: (1)To investigate the visual perception and preference of students toward campus public art, (2)To investigate the criteria of aesthetic judgment of visual perception on campus public art, and (3)To collect suggestions from teachers and children in the case study to other campus public art executive teams. The study collected references and date to provide the spatial characters and art intervention into campus development and its type. The study uses qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to discuss the case. Interview Survey and Questionnaire Survey were conducted in this study. Analyzing and summarizing of all survey data, the research discovery that: 1. In the visual perception and preference of students toward campus public art, the students prefer relief public art. 2. The students’ criteria of aesthetic judgment of visual perception on campus public art. a. For public art created by artists and students, the students have high visual conception on public art’s color, composition, and space. b. For relief public art, the students have high visual conception on shape, space, and integration. c. For sculpture public art, the students have high visual conception on subject, shape, and space. d. For the public art created by art teachers and students, the students have high visual conception on material and mass. e. The visual conception of fifth and sixth graders is higher than the third and fourth grades. Finally, the teachers and the students provided suggestions toward campus public art installation. They believe that everyone should enhance public art installation’s maintenance and management, connect the relationship within the community and the campus by public art, strengthen student’s ability of Visual perception on mass and composition, and encourage the fourth grades and fifth grades student to participate public art activity.
