Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 景觀學系 === 105 === Abstract Since the 1992 UNCED (United Nations Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, various fields have gradually started to explore strategies for sustainable development and concepts like “ecological community” and so forth have been put forward one by one, which is developed from bases rooted in natural ecology while the rapid development pattern of modernization constantly consuming natural resources of the community and accumulating plenty of waste has driven community’s natural function divided, weakened and even disintegrated little by little. Along with the changes of political economy and social progress of Taiwan, deterioration of living environment has always been the controversial topic, which, as for the public of the community, makes them form the idea of improving their living environment and the expectation of recovering declining economic industries. This design is conducted based on related literature concerning ecological community and low-impact development (LID) and different from traditional planning design, the ecological community aims to build a safe and healthy community of local color where concepts of community self-government and green consumption are put into practice through the public’s participation, and the rainwater are managed in a natural and landscape-style way relying on LID design method, that is, it is designed on the basis of sites’ natural hydrologic conditions and natural cyclic process of rainwater via dispersedly planning and designing a series of landscape facilities of soft rainwater management (Stormwater Landscape Facilities, SLFs) so as to build a green rainwater management network consisting of plants with the purpose of achieving the management towards the amount and quality of rainwater. The base of this design is located at a tableland of Shan Zi Ding in Nanxi District of Tainan, a piece of non-urban land, which not only provides fine residential surroundings for people hoping to get far away from cities and seeking for a new and pleasant place among valleys to dwell in, but moreover, makes it easier to study how to create more economic benefits and enable the public to learn about the way of supporting themselves, sharing with and tolerating each other and living together in a harmonious way by using the concept of ecological community on the premise that the land is respected and its natural environment is protected.
