Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電子工程系研究所 === 104 === With development of high technology, wireless communication technology has been put in an application around the world. Location-Based Services (LBS), for example, is one of the most popular wireless technology. As for outdoor positioning technology, Global Positioning System (GPS) is the widely applied. In recent years, due to advent of the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) in many regions, Access Point (AP), has been set up to provide Internet services and LBS. Compared with GPS, WLAN is less likely to be affected by errors from weather and Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) waves; as a result, it can be applied to indoor positioning technology. This study presents a mobile device positioning technology which uses fingerprint database on foundation of wireless Internet technology to operate AP position through the Wi-Fi environment, and finally estimates of the position of mobile devices. There are three ways to modify the database and increase the positioning accuracy rate , Received Signal Strengh (RSS), Signal Strength Difference (SSD), and Hyperbolic Location Fingerprinting (HLF). The closer the mobile devices are near AP, the stronger the signal is. Conversely, if mobile device is distant from AP, then the signal is weaker. The study provides “Average Database Method” for different devices to improve indoor positioning accuracy.
