The dead load of super structure will affect the effectivmess of the retrofit methods when those methods have been applied to practical engineering. That the retrofitting effect actual strength will increase and deformation capacity will reduce. In this paper, three of diffierent retrofitting methods were be designing and experimenting, add the axial load to imitate the floorload, according to the text results and having a design trying to improve the toughness of the retrofitting technology, also observe its behavior and investigate its effectiveness under seismic forces. In addition, developed improving methods based on the experimental results, also discuss the effect of retrofitting technology applies to the existing school buildings with simulation program.
