Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 音樂系碩士在職專班音樂專業師資教育組 === 104 === Ludwig van Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas are praised as the new testament of all the piano works, it not only reflected all his writing style but also became irreplaceable status in keyboard works. Beethoven’s creation in the late period is the most essential of art, Beethoven Piano Sonata Op. 109 is created in this period, thus inspires the motivation to research it. The research subject of this thesis is Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op. 109. It''s divided into five chapters for further exploration. The first chapter is the introduction. The second chapter introduces Beethoven’s biography and the developing context of“sonata”, and makes a thorough inquiry of the development and features on Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas in each period. The third chapter studies Op. 109 in depth, discusses the background, and probes the form, creation method and interpretation of each movement. The fourth chapter investigates the music vocabulary of piano sonata Op. 109, e. g. speed, dynamics, chords and the modulation of music. The final chapter is the conclusion, respects the Beethoven’s important status between the Classical and Romantic period with gained knowledge of this thesis, and has more expectations of being near Beethoven’s musical creation, and interpreting profoundly when playing this sonata.
