| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 文創產業國際藝術碩士學位學程 === 104 === Art archives are sources that referring to the development of the arts scene and unveiling the practice of creating an art piece. There is a growing interest around the world on building art archives from the artists or art practitioners’ perspective. Communication technology is also changing the ways archivists interact with their users and partners. Ability of accessing information in profound quantity has change the way users explore information. The archivists nowadays have to actively engage with their users to create transparency and participation from general public. In recent years, private institutions in Taiwan starts to emerge and flourish into the art archival field. Institution such as Association of the Visual Art in Taiwan provides a mean to systematically research and access contemporary Taiwanese art. There is no doubt a need to explore international case and trend for the preparation of future practice. The internship report, therefore, is served as a documentary of pre-production stage before 2016 International Symposium on Art Archives, an event co-hosted by both Association of Visual Art Taiwan and Taiwan University of Arts, with the hope of proving background knowledge of the event. The focus of the report will be centered on introducing international initiatives for the present art archives such as crowd sourcing, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and application of big data and internet platform.
