In this study, job satisfaction was composed of intrinsic satisfaction and extrinsic satisfaction, and organizational commitment was composed of the value of the commitment, effort commitment and retention commitments. Drivers of three Tainan local city bus companies were selected as the sample of this study. Our research findings showed that both job satisfaction and organizational commitment of bus drivers were high. The higher the job satisfaction of a bus driver has, the higher the value of his personal feelings and his willingness to work will be. As a result, his possibility of job switching will be comparatively low. Finally, we found that the extrinsic satisfaction has more impacts on organizational commitment than intrinsic satisfaction does.
