Three male who engaged in counselor over five years and still active in counseling profession were invited to participate this study. This study took on narrative methodology, and data were analyzed through holistic-content approach developed by Lieblich、Tuval-Mashiachc and Zilber (1998). The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. A process of career identity for male counselors: (1)Career exploration started from family. (2) Personal exploratory experience established future direction. (3)Selecting the working area with appropriate work beliefs and value. (4)Key event reconstructed personal career identity. (5)Identify personal traits and experience through engaging in counseling profession. (6)Counseling profession growing with personal issues mutually. (7)Counseling profession and self will honor each other that they were engaging in career continuously. 2. The influence of gender in the process of career identity for counselor: (1)Male counselors that how he thought about gender will developing coping model when he met shock. (2)Male counselor started put the focus from himself to client Based on the results, some suggestions to practitioner , male counselors and future study are provided in the study.
