To date, no drugs have been demonstrated to effectively prevent or alleviate CRS. The previous studies have proven that Baicalin can provide the protective effect of cardiovascular disease. However, the protective effects of Baicalin on the kidney and heart after renal ischemia and reperfusion are unclear. Purpose: To investigate whether Baicalein can attenuate kidney and myocardial injury induced by renal ischemia and reperfusion in rats. Methods: Total 24 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups: Sham, CAO, DMSO, Baicalein (3mg/kg), Baicalein(10mg/kg) , Baicalein (30mg/kg). Baicalein was injected before renal ischemia. Renal ischemia and reperfusion was induced by a 1-hour occlusion and a 24-hour reperfusion of the renal artery. After 24-hour reperfusion, the serum and heart/kidney tissue were harvested and further analyzed. Sham group received the same surgical procedures without renal occlusion and reperfusion. Results: Baicalein treatment can attenuate renal histological damage, significantly reduced levels of serum inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α. Baicalein also reduced tubular and myocardial apoptosis, and reduced levels of apoptosis related protein caspase-3. Conclusions: Baicalein treatment can attenuate kidney and myocardial injury induced by renal ischemia and reperfusion. The underlying mechanisms might be related to the inhibition of apoptosis, and reduce the inflammatory response. Tseng, Kuo-Wei 曾國維 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW |
