Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 運動科學研究所 === 104 === Background/Purpose:Fructose could cause Hyperglycemia easily, which increases people suffering from Type II diabetes when being absorbed by human body in long term. As a result, this research studies the effect on long-term-supplement of deep ocean water to Hba1c, Insulin concentration and the control of glucose, reducing chronic disease and aging. Method: The experiment separated 5-month-old mice in 6 groups. The 6 groups are Vehicle, Fructose, Deep ocean water and Deep ocean water with Fructose, giving mice with pure water, 11%fructose, deep ocean water for 12 months when the mice are 6 months old. Analyzing insulin, blood glucose when fasting, HOMA-IR, ITT andHba1c when the mice are 12 and 18 months old. Result: 18-month-old and 12-month-old mice’s insulin concentration and HOMA-IR are higher than 6-month-old mice’s significantly. The fasting mice’s glucose concentration has no significant difference in 18-month-old, 12-month-old and 6-month-old. The 18-month-old female mice’s HOMA-IR in group fructose is higher than group deep ocean water significantly. Conclusion: this research found that supplement deep ocean water for female mice could prevent insulin resistance caused by taking fructose in long term.
