Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 運動科學研究所 === 104 === This study aims to discuss the difference between the elementary school graduates in different cities and those in the country in terms of their obesity, static activities, physical activities, and activities in weekdays and on holidays, then the background factors which will have an influence on their physical activities and the relationship with the weight gains, and finally the significance different by means of the T test. Regarding the research method, the city and country schoolchildren serve as the independent variables, and T test is applied to discuss the difference in the documents during the past six years and the difference between weekdays and holidays as far as static activities and physical activities are concerned. The result has indicated that in different cities and the country, in terms of the time spent on static and physical activities, the elementary school students have significant difference in most of the activities except reading and doing assignments (holidays), watching TV (holidays), and outdoor exercise and games (holidays). For instance, the elementary school students in the country spend significantly more time on using computers and going online than those in the cities by 41.2 minutes. As for the time spent on reading and doing assignments (weekdays), the school children in the cities spend 58.5 minutes every week, which is significantly more than those in the country, who spend 55.1 minutes. The BMI from the first to sixth grade and the weight from the third to sixth grade are both significantly different in terms of the elementary school students in the city area and country area of New Taipei City. Hence, the study concludes that there are both significant differences in the static activities and physical activities (on holidays and in weekdays) of the elementary school students in the city area and country area of New Taipei City. The schoolchildren in the city have more dynamic activities (on holidays) than those in the country. The schoolchildren in different area have some differences in activity choices (on holidays and in weekdays). The elementary school students in the country of New Taipei City (on holidays) have significantly more static activities than those in the cities. The elementary school students in the city area of New Taipei City have significantly more static activities (in weekdays) than those in the country.
