Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 體育學系體育碩士在職專班 === 104 === A Study of Recreational Sports Participating Motivations and Constraint Factors for Junior High School Teachers In New Taipei City Hsiu-Ying Li University of Taipei Abstract This study aims to understand the current status of participating motivations and constraint factors in recreational sports for junior high school teachers in New Taipei City and the discrepancies among various factors; it also aims to compare different personal background variants influencing the discrepancies and correlations between participating motivations and constraint factors in recreational sports for junior high school teachers in New Taipei City . Questionnaires were distributed to junior high school teachers in New Taipei City in conception selection with valid 540 copies collected. The 85.71% effective returned questionnaires were analysed and processed with SPSS20.0 statistical software.The findings were as follows:1.Among four factors of participating motivations in recreational sports, mental needs and health needs were the most valued; the following factors were self-accomplishment needs and social needs. Within four constraint factors, job constraint had the highest perception; the following were site struturl constraint and then family constraint , and the lowest individual physical constraint .2.There were significant differences of participating motivations in gender,age, and subject field. There were significant differences of constraint factors in gender, age, years of teaching, current posiyion, subject field, and marital and family status.3.There were no significant irrelevance between the whole subjects participation motivations and constraint factors for junior high school teachers in New Taipei City .
