differences in motivation and obstacles of participation. This study used questionnaires, and "Motivation Scale" and "Barriers Scale" as a research tool, Its object is to New Taipei City Department of Investigation Elementary Teachers' recreational Surveying the present study objects, issued a total of 612 parts, recovered 560 valid questionnaires, valid questionnaires recovery rate 91.5%. After the questionnaire Surveying recovery, the data obtained from the use of SPSS for windows version 20.0 software package, descriptive statistics, LSD post hoc comparisons, independent sample t test, one-way analysis of variance, LSD post hoc comparisons and other statistical analysis and discussion, obtain the following results. One, Leisure Sports Participation Motivation There are five factors, according to the average of the high and low, respectively, as "health needs","people demand","knowledge needs","need for achievement","stimulate avoidance". Differences between the various factors involved in the case that motivation, New Taipei City Elementary Teachers' recreational for "healthy demand" the most attention, Second, different gender, different ages,different levels of education, different titles, the average monthly income in the Motivation Factors, achieve significant differences. Tow, among the factors involved in recreational sports motivation variables reached significant differences, up to "healthy demand" factors, minimum "stimulate escape" factor. Three, different gender, age, job title, New Taipei City Elementary Teachers' marital status reached the significant differences in the motivation to participate in recreational sports. Third, the new Taipei City Taipei Elementary Teachers' recreational factor in obstacles, according to the average of the high and low, respectively, as "individual impede","venue hinder","information hinder","hinder the work".
