The purpose of building a moveable deck was increased the usability of the current rowing tank stroking device, to implement indoor trainings under the weather conditions and to improve the efficiency of coaching. There were multiple re-designs of this moveable deck during the building processes. The final goal for training benefits under a limited economical budget. After the completion of the stroking device, multiple tests were conducted with rowing athletes in the rowing tank stroking device. To measured the outcomes, the RowX-Model B system was used to collect the data. The data collected was focus on the stroking force, which was 18 paddle strokes collected in one minute. And 20 rowing athletes take a part this test. Then, the data was analyzed among athletes' performance and also against their own previous performance data. Then, this study measure the variance between this rowing tank stroking device and real rowing status. The design of the stroking device includes a wooden frame box, a seat with a moving track and an oar attachment. All design required condition were similar the actual racing boat. In brief, it is a simulation of an actual racing shell to help trainees to grab the actual movements on the water. The analysis shows the following results showed stroking patterns curve among athletes, the stroking impulse of each athlete has agreed with their own numbers under the real rowing status and stroking impulse of each athlete was higher than their peak force of stroking under the true rowing situation, the curve of power of stroking power was not as similar as the curve under the true rowing status for all athletes.
