Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 104 === Recently due to thefamous local film “Island Etude” and governmental policy of Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction, cycling has become one of the popular sports nationwide. Some urban cities have listed “Public Bicycle Facility” as their mayor development. While the number of cyclists’increasing, the safety concerns have also become one of the public issues. Therefore to decrease the crash rate, we hope to use safety hand gestures for cyclists to perform during their rides which include dangerous condition such as holds; class and vehicles, left-turn, right-turn, change roads and slow breaks, the effectiveness will be tested by exam and questioners. We focus on the lightweight and high speed of Racing type bicycles, since most of the cyclists are riding in a group as straight formation, once there is any unavoidable accident in the front, the following cyclists may face some serious crashes. With the hand gestures, when the leading cyclists face the listed situation; they can indicate the road situation to the following cyclists, make sure they can be pre-alerted and take the possible reaction. In the future application of this research, we hope to dedicate to the researchers or companies to develop related products to indicate the road situation without against to the benefits of lightweight and fast-speed, this main feature will be pre-alert the following cyclists and decrease the accidents rates.
