Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 建築與室內設計系 === 104 === The architecture building in Tunghai University grows up under the post-war development of architectural education, which has adopted and inherited the orthodox elements of western modern architecture education. Namely, The architecture building in Tunghai University marks that the modern architecture formally entry in Taiwan. From 1960 when it was established to now, it has been relocated once and improved for three times. There are still many difficulties need to be confronted with during the several changes of space. This paper chooses The architecture building in Tunghai University as the research object to analyze all the current space usage condition in the aspects of the cultural spirit and tradition and the future development of the department, considers adapting to its own teaching features and development and meet customers’ demand as the starting point to inspect the problems of the space of department hall, as well as the value of the characteristics, and initially puts forward improvement measures and feasible future development direction according to its own development, expecting to offer some reference for future space planning of the department. This study belongs to case study. Namely, it use the collected literature, the relevant historical literature, the oral history and the interviews of all the relevant teachers and students who can compensate for the lack of literature, to figure out 56 years(1960-2016)development process of Architecture Department and explore the changed and immobile part in the space-time changes. Then, the author depends on the current situation survey and the interview of user to inspect the problem in the current situation of space and the use and to understand the user's habits, physical and mental needs. Finally, the author put forward some conclusions and suggestions after summing and analyzing. The research conclusion shows that the architecture building in Tunghai University has the characteristics "congenitally deficient and postnatal maladjustment", which is to provide the most appropriate space for educational buildings with the lowest budget. The negligence in final-period management and the user's inappropriate usage mode make the physical environment of the space not good and the work environment become messy. And the deficiency of the space is mainly reflected in the following aspects: 1, more and more foreign students study in this university, which has been beyond the critical value of the students’ quantity. 2, the personal storage space is in a badly shortage. 3, the co-teaching mode of the whole college leads to the shortage of the teaching space. 4, the whole college is lack of public discussion space and exhibition space. 5, lack of ancillary space. In view of having witnessed the significant changes in in different periods, architectural department hall is also the only architectural works as a representative of Tunghai white buildings with double identities: Han Baode as architect and the executant of architectural education. And the unique space form breeds its own building culture and tradition, which also has left many common memories for the teachers and students. Therefore, accord to the future development plan of the Department of architecture, the establishments in the short term should consider the structure of the whole building, refurbish the building, arrange the pipeline, replace the facilities and equipment, increase personal storage space and air conditioning equipment, and replan the space of the hall and studio and divide them into the public space and exhibition space. In the medium-term plan, semi credit is used in the academic score system of curriculum which can flexibly stagger students ‘class time and reduce the space of the pressure. As for the space, the downward development of the system can be adopted to address the needs of the development of the system. From a long-term point of view, we should look at the problem of campus space in a comprehensive way. That is, we should stitch the second campuses and achieve overall planning and adjustment of the various functions of the campus.
