Taiwan has been committed to investing more resources to promoting international education for years to achieve the very mission and this makes the assessment of effectiveness critical and essential. The study adopts intense interviews with teachers and students involved in exchange programs to explore ex-post influences in three aspects: nation recognition, international perspectives, and global competence. It is concluded as below: 1.International education helps students understand Taiwan’s culture traits and increase domestic cultural recognition. 2.International education boosts students’ national recognition. 3.International education helps students appreciate multicultural respect and consideration. 4.International education motivates students in foreign languages learning, however, the increase in language proficiency is marginal. 5.International education cultivates abilities of cross-cultural communications and delivers cultural reflection. 6.International education boosts confidence for students to conduct international activities and escalates interests in global affairs. 7.International education helps students comprehend cultural biases and enhance positive thinking abilities. Following the conclusions, schools with international education programs are advised to enhance competitive strategies through three aspects: administration, curriculum design, and faculty composition.
