Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 社會暨政策科學學系 === 104 === The main purpose of this study is to discuss the relationships between emotional labor and job satisfaction for the care workers who currently serve in the welfare institutes for the disabilities in Taoyuan City. Cluster sampling was the way the researcher used to select respondents. With multiple regression analyses, we find main results that are summarized as follows. 1.In general, the mean score of surveyed care workers’ emotional labor is above the mid-point of the scale. Meanwhile, among five dimensions of emotional labor, “basic emotional express” scores the highest. 2.The average “job satisfaction” score of respondents is also higher than the mid-point of the scale. Respondents report the highest score in the dimension of “relationships,” which measures the satisfaction of care workers towards their relationships with co-workers. 3.Overall, it is found that the associations between all dimensions of emotional labor and job satisfaction of cares workers in Taoyuan City are positive. 4.When social demographic variables are controlled for, some dimensions of emotional labor show positive effects on job satisfaction.
